Welcome to Denver City, Texas! Located in the southwest corner of the Texas Panhandle, Denver City was founded in 1935 as the last west Texas town created solely on the discovery of oil. Today, while the oil industry remains a pivotal part of our economy, Yoakum County thrives as a key agricultural hub as well. Denver City is a friendly community of approximately 5,000 people, with great schools, strong churches and outstanding medical facilities.
